In addition to its real estate holdings, MEI also manages a diverse equity and bond portfolio, retail and entertainment businesses, and other closely held investments, including BRC and ERI. Mugar Enterprises brings a seasoned real estate perspective to BRC and helps BRC offer property management solutions to owners of contaminated property while resolving their liability issues.

Environmental Reclamation Inc. is an environmental assessment and remediation firm with offices in Boston and on Cape Cod. Since its formation in 1991, ERI has successfully remediated releases of oil, chlorinated solvents, and other environmental contaminants at more than 100 properties including industrial manufacturing facilities, retail shopping centers, and public water supplies. In addition to performing environmental site assessment and remedial operations, ERI's exceptional staff of engineers, groundwater hydrologists, and licensed site professionals provides investigative environmental impact studies to a variety of public and private entities. Housed within the same offices as BRC, ERI's environmental professionals are able to work closely with the BRC team to quickly and accurately identify environmental issues associated with target properties and to develop and implement cost effective strategies for remediating those sites.
